Rip off on ink |
|
I have purchased a few 150 picture print packs and I have one that has about 100 pieces of photo paper left and another that has 50 out of 300! That would make this double the cost of the amount it cost you to print! Now what really fire me up is that they sell you both the paper and the ink together so you can't buy them separately which would be fine if in fact you actually got to use all the paper, but you don't! Some gimmick that got going here if you ask me, you get to purchase something that you can't even use. I'm better off sending all my photos to Walgreens. I wouldn't waste my money if I were you! |

Great Printer |
I have used this product for a few years and it's AWESOME! It got a lot of use in the first year or so and performed flawlessly. Now I use it occasionally perhaps 5 to 6 times a years and it still performs. One tip if you go long periods between uses be sure to clear the print heads. It is a very easy process you press a few buttons and the printer does all the work. Do this before spending money on a new print cartridge because you think your print head is bad.
The printer produces high quality prints every time. With the high gloss paper, you cannot tell them from prints from the photo center. The printer accepts all types of media, which is a plus.

Good if you use it frequently |
I like the printer in general, as it is very convenient and products good prints at a good price.
However, I only use it occasionally, and that means I need to go through multiple head-cleaning procedures each time before that batch of photos can be printed.
Also, the ink runs out well before the paper (maybe 3/4 of the way through an ink/paper pack). The "guarantee" with the printer seems to be lots of hassle so I haven't
bothered. So if you will use it frequently it's probably very good, but watch out for occasional use. |

Unless you plan to use it weekly - don't buy it. |
I bought a Dash and loved the quality of the pictures, HOWEVER, since I only use it once a month or so, the print heads dry up on a regular basis. I have to run 6-8 cleaning cycles every time to clean the machine and now, it will no longer work. I appealed to Epson for a replacement but because I didn't let them know within the context of my one year warranty. I'm out of luck and the $150 I paid for it. It's a shame Epson can't stand behind their product or find a way to make a product like this without the ink heads drying up continually. I have a large group of friends who also bought this machine and they all have the same problem, only mine is the only which will no longer work.
I went through numerous cartridges just for cleaning cycles. Wish I had all that $$$ back. |
