As one reviewer found out, this is sold as one horse and you will need to select two, to have a set. I am not sure why Jas-store is selling them as one; just be aware in case you have been eyeballing them at local retailers as a pair for $75-$80; Jas-store's price is better with free shipping.
I haven't overworked this set yet but I have had the Stanley 60582 (all plastic) for a couple of years and they have been great; this pair is advertised to be twice as strong. I have stacked and cut 2X6 rafters on 60582 without a problem. The adjustable height on these has already provided many conveniences.
The only con I have is the width; I like the weight and size, but I would like to have "another" set, same design, but at 36" to support plywood. Until then, a strong set of wood horses still has their place, but these are arguably stronger and hands down handier in the shop, and during transport.

NOT SOLD IN PAIRS |
I was very disappointed when my order arrived to find only one sawhorse in the package. What good is one sawhorse? Based on the description and reviews that used the word "they" liberally, I was expecting a PAIR of sawhorses.
I purchased what I thought were 4 pair for my 4 sons who opened them on Christmas morning. When they pulled out only one horse per package, they thought it was a joke and I had stashed the mate somewhere else. But the joke was on me.
Also, the 4 light-weight saw horses were shipped in 4 HUGE boxes that each could easily have held all 4. They were shipped free, so it is the company's loss as I am sure the dimensional weight was nearly as much as the entire cost of the horses. But it did turn out to be a lot of cardboard to get rid of, and that kind of waste is not so good for our environment. I'm thinking a company with shipping volume like Jas-store would be more sensitive to their cumulative tree use!
I'm sure the sawhorses are great...but just one doesn't do much good. I guess a deal that looks too good to be true usually is.

Excellent product, casual packaging by amazon |
The Stanley FatMax Telescopic sawhorses are simply excellent. This is the 2nd pair I purchased this month. They are light in weight, well engineered, versatile and very easy to adjust on height. If you always use the slots for 2x4's to create a support platform, you will likely never mistakenly cut the sawhorses themselves -- an excellent feature.
Jas-store gave a very good price with free shipping arrived in 48 hrs here in NY. However, all were very badly packed in oversize boxes created from simple flat cardboard and lightly taped. Inside was long roll of partially crumpled brown paper. Two of the four I purchased had broken an alignment pin used upon folding (not critical but annoying - I used plastic welding cement to repair ok). The boxes offered little protection-- fortunately the FatMax's are very strong. Jas-store and its vendor should be ashamed of the childish packaging. That said, I would still buy based on convenience and speed of delivery vs. going to Home Depot. |

Superior sawhorses |
|
I thought initially that these were a bit expensive, however after using them I realized they are worth every penny. The ability to easily adjust the height and not have to bend over all the time is awesome. They appear rugged and work great on uneven surfaces. Right now I'm very happy with the Stanley FatMax sawhorses. |

Good Product - Nice Design |

I purchased two of these sawhorses. I have primarily used the feature for setting 2X4's into slots on the top and using plywood to make a work surface for small painting projects. The leg adjustment is handy. These are quite sturdy, but not to be "bashed" around. |
