Great pair of medium-priced headphones! |
Current setup:
Headphones - Logitech G330
Speakers - Logitech X540
Keyboard - Logitech G110
Mouse - Razer Deathadder (1800 dpi version)
Pros:
-Still works with glasses!
-Good sound quality for price
-Good microphone quality for price
-Noise canceling mic works as expected
-Compact and bends easily for traveling
-Comfortable for at least 1.5 hours (Haven't tried longer yet)
Cons:
-Cord quality is the usual cheap stuff
-Inline audio control box is rather large
I'm very happy with this headset, all of the audio quality is better than expected for the price point. The foam is very thick on the speakers, and the rotate somewhat for a very comfortable fit. The microphone bends & spins easily without flying everywhere at random. One cool feature is that the headphones easily bend into a very flat package for traveling, a nice surprise.
I can't speak to the quality of the USB adapter, except that it works as advertised. I'm currently using my Logitech speakers through my laptop's sound card, and the headphones through the keyboard's sound card. Windows 7 can tell the difference, so I get game sounds through my speakers, and Skype/Ventrilo through my headset. It is very easy to hear game sounds and/or my surroundings while using these headphones.
The only reason this product gets a 4 star rating is the shoddy cord quality. From a company like Logitech I was hoping for a high-quality braided cord, instead of a light rubber coating. I doubt the cord is going to have any problems, I just was hoping for something sturdier.
It is also worth noting that I wear these with the back of the headset resting low down on my neck. I am not trying to get the headset to stay horizontal, which could be the cause of some reviewer's discomfort.

Comfortable affordable headset |
|
I had bought this headset to replace an older Logitech one that I had owned for quite a few years. The thing that interested me was the same wrap-around-the-head design as my previous headset. The adjustable back is nice if you have a larger (or smaller) head. The sound quality is good and the padding on the headphones feels so comfortable. I have no complaints on the microphone quality either. I basically use the headset for communication with others. |

Great Headset, Great Price |
|
I bought this headset for a replacment for my 16 year old son. They fit nicely, and sound great. My son has a gaming laptop and the sound is great using the USB interface. |

Really really short cord. |
Comfort was excellent because of the silicone addition, speedy delivery, and sound quality was pretty crisp, worth the price. However, it would have been a perfect headset because the cords are SERIOUSLY VERY SHORT, it yanked my head off and knock me down whenever I stand up forgetting that I an still wearing my headset (kudos to comfort again). It was really terrible as I thought I would rip the wires off the headset, but so far it surprised me that the cord is really really durable and strong from multiple accidental yanking and pulling.
I have multiple headsets and this was the only one that gives me the cord length problem, had to buy an extension cord just to solve this problem. Aside from that, its pretty decent, still worth getting it if you don't mind the cord length. |

Very nice, light weight, has its pros and cons tho |
Immediately after opening it from the box, I noticed it was nicer than I was expecting. It is made of a rubberized plastic, so its very flexible. The red backing you see in the picture is a cushiony rubber strip. The microphone is completely bendable, so it can comform comfortably with your mouth. The ear peices are bendable, so they also help conform to your ears. There is a good amoung of paddding on the ear peice to assist with the cushioning. I know...I use the word cushioning a lot. The reason being, it is more than I have ever noticed in a headset. I have owned about 5 top quality headsets for gaming in my life, most of them being Plantronics. This is by far the nicest and most comfortable headset I have owned.
As most USB headsets, connecting it is easy. There are custom settings you can use to have video game talking (Ventrillo or Teamspeak) come through only in the headset. This requires a bit more compueter knowledge than the average Joe...but it is possible. Try experimenting in your Control Panel/Sounds settings and settings within the VoIP software.
Pros: Price, light weight, comfortable, level of detail put into its design
Cons: Only con I have is that it doesn't fit my head completely. There is a constant gap behind my head while wearing it. It is a slight annoyance, but not enough that I would get rid of it.
Overall: Great headset, and I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a new headset for gaming. |
